Platja d'en Serral

Platja d’en Serral

Platja d’en Serral

Platja d’en Serral or Calo d’en Serral is a small beach in the urban area of Sant Antoni Bay. It is located between Platja des Pinet and Platja de s’Estanyol. Walking along the coast, you’ll find it like a little piece of sand surrounded by hotels.

Identity card:

Type: Sandy Beach

The tiny stretch of beach is 15 meters wide and 75 meters long with white fine-grained sand. This beach offers all the basic necessities such as sun loungers, parasols, wheelchair access, tons of shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance. It is crowded like all of the neighboring beaches in the summer season. Usually, the wind blows softly from the shore or from the side. The clarity of the water is very inviting; it makes you want to dive in on its surface.

How to get there:

Geo: 38º968380 N / 1º295869 E

The town of Ibiza is 24 kilometers away while Sant Antoni town is just 3 kilometers. You can walk along the bay from downtown Sant Antoni. There are different ways to get there. The first option would be to take a taxi from Ibiza Town which costs a little over 30 euros. The other option is to take the bus L2 or L6 from San Antonio bus station. Or take the ferry at the San Antonio port. You can also go by car or motorcycle. Take the C-731 road and head over to San Antonio, once you see the central roundabout with the with a characteristic Egg of Columbus monument, take the Sant Agustí avenue signed with Cala de Bou direction. The Sant Agustí avenue goes along the Sant Antoni bay to the southwest. Four kilometers ahead is the road sign to Platja d’en Serral or Calo d’en Serral. You can park on the street that goes to the beach parking lot.

Did you know?

At the end of the summer season, the village of San Antonio is still lively as it is completely populated all year round. However, the small beaches in the surrounding area, like this one, have become deserted. Hotels are close, as are most of the shops and bars; many boats and yachts disappear from the horizon. Winter is an opportunity for locals to walk alone along the coast.

What to see:

You can see the Sant Antoni Sportive Port and the Sant Antoni Tourist Center from this beach. It’s the perfect spot to admire the sunset, too.

What to do:

Walk for 10 minutes southwest along the coast and you will find the colorful and lively Kumharas beach restaurant.

In the morning, after a yoga session, enjoy a healthy breakfast and dance at sunset with chill-out music played by astounding live bands.

What about drinks, shops and hotels?

The best accommodation we can recommend that is near the water and is perfect for families and big group of friends is the Axelbeach Hotel. You can book modern apartments and private suites with its own living room, private terrace and a fully equipped kitchen.

There are a lot of shops in Sant Antoni, you will easily find what you need, remember, fashion is essential in Ibiza.

Haute couture is all the rage in the world, Ibiza’s bars and restaurants are always up to date, so we recommend that you try an exotic cocktail at the Kumharas Restaurant Bar.
