Cala Salada is the last beach in the San Antonio bay southwest to northwest.
If you are staying in San Antonio and want to escape the hustle and bustle, get into the perfect Ibiza nature and lose yourself in the turquoise sea. Despite being a well-known beach that is frequented by locals and tourists, its elegance makes you relax and enjoy. Cala Salada is also an ancient region for local fishermen, on one hand is a fishing dock where you can sunbathe in your towel, jump in the water and enjoy an unforgettable day.

This beach is a work of nature’s art, one of the most beautiful in Ibiza. Its waters are turquoise blue, emerald green, shallow and transparent and the sand is fine and soft. This beach is 100 meters long and 30 meters wide. On the sides, there are low cliffs surrounded by forests of pines and junipers from where you can see the sunset.
It’s a very busy beach in the peak season, mostly on weekends. There is only one restaurant of the same name here that offers the service of hammocks and parasols.

The town of Ibiza is about 31 kilometers away. You can get here by car, motorcycle and bus.
It’s about 35 euros by taxi from the town of Ibiza.
From Ibiza town, take the bus number L3 Eivissa-Sant Antoni bus station. You can also take the bus number L34 Sant Antoni-Cala Salada in the same bus station.
Driving by car or motorcycle, from Ibiza downtown, take the C-731 road towards Sant Antoni then choose the way Santa Agnes, Santa Ines. After two kilometers at the roundabout, choose the way signposted as Cala Salada.
Did you know?
Very close to Cala Salada, there is a cave with cave paintings called Ses Fontanelles. The locals also called it Sa Cova des Vi or the wine cave because they used it as a cellar for wines.
Entering the cave is not possible, but from the outside you can see the two cave paintings that have been almost wiped over time as they date from the Bronze Age, 1000 years BC.
You can walk to these caves, only fifteen minutes away from the parking lot.
What to see:
The marine life is what you can see at Cala Salada, so do snorkeling. The water is very clear, do not forget to take your water goggles with you. We highly recommend exploring the rocky areas to the east where marine life is often housed.
What to do:
The next cove from South to North is Cala Saladeta; it is Cala Salada’s little sister. As with the older sister, Cala Saladeta is one of Ibiza’s most famous paradises. Take a stroll along the scenic coast before you reach it.

The only restaurant on this beach is the Cala Salada Restaurant which offers the typical Mediterranean and Spanish cuisine, fresh fish and seafood, salads, paella, tapas, beer, wine, sangría, etc. Having a drink from the terrace or sunbathing on a sunbed is a comfortable experience plus the view is incredible.

What about drinks, shops and hotels?
To have a drink, the Cala Salada restaurant serves traditional cocktails such as sangria or tinto de verano, and certainly a good beer aside from wine. You can also go to Hostal La Torre, which is a couple of kilometers to the south, and from there, get lost in the beautiful sunset.
Villa Saladeta is perched on top of a hill if you choose to stay in a natural Mediterranean setting, surrounded by forest and with views of the mediterranean. A five-bedroom Ibizan style house that you can book, with swimming pool, gardens, rest areas, everything for you and your family.
Tips:
The more you move to the northwest of the Ibicencan coast, the more you get into nature and away from the touristic areas. Cala Salada is the last beach easily accessible to the north as the orography increases, the cliffs are higher, and the sandy beaches disappear in the west. If you want to be in a tourist area with more services, go to the beaches near San Antonio, Ibiza Town or Santa Eulalia.
