Cala Gració is a beach of paradise with a closed bay that prevents wind and tide. It is indeed trendy among both locals and tourists, especially in the summer. It is very close to Sant Antoni village, so you can get there by foot.

The beach is turquoise and shallow, and its sand is fine. It is not vast; its measurements are 80 meters long and 150 meters wide.

It is very familiar as it is safe for kids. It is usually very crowded in high season, mostly because it is very close to the village of San Antonio and there are nearby hotels and restaurants. It has all the primary touristic services, lifeguards, showers, toilets, deckchairs, parasols, bus stop, restaurants, bars, and hotels nearby.

Cala Gració is 27 kilometers from Ibiza town and there are 3 different ways to get here.

By taxi from Ibiza town, it costs around 35 euros.

By bus, you can take the bus number L3 Eivissa-Sant Antoni at the bus station or take the bus number L1 Sant Antoni-Cala Gració-Stella Maris.

Driving by car or motorcycle from Ibiza downtown, take the C-731 road towards Sant Antoni. From Sant Antoni, choose the way Santa Agnes, Santa Ines. After two kilometers, take a left turn. The beach is signposted as Cala Gració.

Did you know?

There is an aquarium close to Cala Gració which is accessible to the public, Aquarium d’es Cap Blanc. It is a natural sea cave originally named Sa Cova de ses Llagostes, Sa Cova des Peix or Sa Cova des Vell Marí.

The term Vell Marí is because of the now extinct monk seal that lived in the seas of Ibiza that was known as Vell Marí in the Balearic Islands. At that time, these seals then took refuge in this cave. 


What to see:

No doubt you have to visit the Aquarium d’es Cap Blanc, it was built in 1989 for the public, historically it was a cave used by fishermen to raise fish and lobsters, when there was overfishing this is where they stored the surplus. The cave has five entrances to seawater which constantly oxygenate and renew the micro-ecosystem which has been produced naturally. Its extension is 370 square meters. The main species that inhabit it are native to the Pitiusas Islands, such as lobsters, groupers, rays, and many species of fish.

What to do:

There is a lovely hiking path that runs from Cala Gració to Cala Saladeta all along the shore. You will go past beautiful cliffs to the charming La Torre hostel, Punta Galera, Cala Salada and finishes in Cala Gracioneta. It is an approximately three kilometer hike.

The Pikes Hotel Club and Restaurant is situated four kilometers from Cala Gració. If you have not heard of this legendary hotel you have to visit it to eat, relax or party.

Classics and modern things combine here. Of course, they have vegan and vegetarian options. On Sundays, they offer the classic Sunday Roast at the pool.

What about drinks, shops and hotels?

A few steps from Cala Gració is the Hotel Cubanito, the most vintage tropical hotel you can find in Ibiza. Staying in this hotel is like being transported to Havana in the sixties. The architecture, the lighting, the swimming pool and the music are all well cared for.

Likewise, to have a few drinks, the Cubanito Hotel has a terrace open to the public with a view of the sea, tropical cocktail menu, salsa group and DJs playing the best of classical and alternative tropical music.

Tips:

Take a walk to the next beach to the northwest. It is the little sister of Cala Gració, which is called Cala Gracioneta. In the Catalan language, the ending -eta is a diminutive of the word, so Cala Gracioneta means little Cala Gració.
