Cala Molí is a small exquisite cove where peace is the secret of its magic. The nature around creates an atmosphere of harmony as it is located between two cliffs full of Mediterranean trees. The surrounding hills protect it from the wind making the water serene, clean and brilliant.

A perfect beach for snorkeling with a seabed that is rich in flora and fauna.

Cala Molí is in San José municipality, the highest area of the island where the beaches and coves are as if valleys below cliffs. It is in the middle of a perfect ecosystem with trees refreshing its surroundings and is under the shelter of the hills.

It is 70 meters in length and 50 meters in width with coarse sand and a rocky shore, it is best to wear booties when going in and out of the water.

Cala Molí is 30 kilometers away from Ibiza town and can only be reached by either driving or taking a taxi.  

By car, from Ibiza town take the road to San José and continue one kilometer by the route to San Antoni. A few meters after San José town, turn left to the sign that says Cala Molí, Cala Tarida, Cala Vedella, Cala d’Hort and Cala Carbó. Continue towards Molí, which is perfectly signposted. Parking is available alongside the road near the beach.

Taking a taxi on the other hand is much easier but it can cost up to 30 euros.

Did you know?

Cala Molí has been declared a ‘Natural Area’ by the council of San Josep to protect it from the crowding of hammocks.

What to see:

In contrast to some touristic beaches in the Mediterranean where silence and contemplation of nature can be complicated, Cala Molí represents that exception.

There are different shades of blue water and green forest on the hills.

What to do:

Stop and take photos or simply admire the astonishing view from the side of the road before parking your car and going to the beach. A breathtaking view that put everybody in awe upon at first glance.

Hiking. One of the most thrilling things to do in Cala Moli is hiking. Bring a sturdy pair of sneakers and get lost in the woods exploring the cliffs beside the cove.

Snorkeling. Don’t forget goggles to explore the sea-bottom.

In the countryside of Ibiza, you will always find comfortable accommodation in the Mediterranean ecosystem. There are few Villas that you can book around Cala Molí. You can also stay in the touristic center San Antonio which have a wide range of prices and services located only 16 km away.

To enjoy an exciting shopping, San Antonio, Playa d’en Bossa or Ibiza Town are the perfect place. 

Have a delightful drink in Bagatelle Beach. Another option is to stop by in San José, a typical town with a lively atmosphere on the main street with few bar terraces.
